I'm pleased to welcome Elyzabeth today to share a few things about herself and present her latest release, Reine's Salvation, the first in The Alpha Protector series!
Is writing your only job, Elyzabeth?
Ha! I wish, but no, sadly it isn’t my only job. Besides writing, I’m also an ESL teacher.
Where did you get your story idea?
The idea for Reine’s Salvation came from an anthology call back in 2014. For that anthology, which ended up being cancelled, I wrote a different story, but it had the building blocks for what would become Reine’s world.
Tell us about Reine’s Salvation (Alpha Protectors I):
He’s the kind of man her mother warned her to steer clear from...
Mystique is happy with her current life, but for years she's struggled on a path of self-destruction. She knows she shouldn't get involved with the brooding hunk at the bar, but how can she stay away when his sorrowful gaze is so compelling?
Reine has lost everything: his wife, his friends, his ability to fight, and his identity as an Alpha Protector. There's nothing left for him except a world of anger and bitterness. At least, that’s what he believes until he meets an intrepid waitress.
The attraction between them is immediate, but while Reine can’t let go of his past, Mystique is not willing to return to hers. With darkness constantly closing in, will they find a way to be together? Or, will Reine's behavior destroy their future?
Favorite line from your book?
I really like this line as I feel that it’s relevant to all of us in any moment of our life.
You need to find something that makes you strong again, something that makes you want to fight.
Tell us about your writing process.
In general, I’m a pantser. I usually come up with an idea or a scene and work from there. Sometimes, like when it comes to series, I have a general idea on the direction I want to take, but nothing is set in stone. For instance, when I first started working on Reine’s story there were things about him that I didn’t find out until I was a good few thousand words in. Normally, I write a first draft and then go back and edit. After the second (or sometimes third) round of edits is done, I’ll send it to any beta readers interested in reading it. Once that is done, it’s off to write synopsis, blurb and submit. *smile*
Where can we buy the book?
All Romance Ebooks
I’m currently working on editing book 2 of Alpha Protectors and this month I’m also doing Nanowrimo (National Novel Writing Month) and writing a dark romance.
